U.S. to spend $7.3 billion on rural clean energy projects

Reuters – President Joe Biden’s administration on Thursday said the U.S. will spend $7.3 billion from 2022’s Inflation Reduction Act to fund clean energy projects helmed by rural electric cooperatives. The 16 funded projects will reduce energy costs and increase reliability for rural Americans, who tend to pay more for energy, the White House said.

For this forecast period, it's looking like the forecasted strong area of high pressure is going to dominate the weather across the Prairies. This should bring plenty of sunshine and warming temperatures. Overnight lows look to be seasonable, so at this point it doesn't look like we'll see heat warnings—but as usual you just never know.

A resolution requesting the effort was passed at the organization’s July 24 advisory council meeting. Money raised from the sale of the plates, if approved, would go toward Manitoba Farmer Wellness, which launched in 2022. The program provides
