McKnight Farms of Roland has won the Manitoba Corn Growers Association’s (MCGA) annual corn yield contest for the second year in a row with a yield of 245.29 bushels an acre. Good Corn Yields And Quality

Manitoba corn yields and quality are believed to be higher than average this year, in part because of better weather, but also because of improved varieties. Sunflower, Corn Harvest Results Mixed

Manitoba’s sunflower harvest is disappointing in both yield and quality. “It was just too wet,” said Earl Schnellert, of Agri-Tel Grain in Beausejour.
