– The TransCanada Keystone XL pipeline ran into another roadblock on Thursday, as a federal judge in Montana granted an injunction halting the project pending further environmental review from the U.S. State Department.
– The United Kingdom’s economy grew at a rate of 0.6 per cent in the third quarter, according to a report from the Office for National Statistics. The growth was the largest in nearly two years and came in line with Bank of England expectations.
– A state of emergency has been called in parts of California, as wildfires hit many areas of the state. Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes with the northern town of Paradise “wiped out,” according to reports.
