When I think back over the past year, it seems that half a lifetime has passed by. I attended weddings, saw some newborn babies and also was present at the funerals of good friends. Some neighbours moved away and others moved in.
There is a historic event that happened more than 2,000 years ago that we should reflect on. It brought a change to mankind and changed the world. Someone was brought to trial but was innocent. Nevertheless He was charged, convicted and died on a cross. However, Christ rose from the dead and is now sitting at the right hand of God, making intercession for us daily. John 8:36 tells us: “So if the Son (Jesus Christ) sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
May we all enjoy the freedom that God gives us when we celebrate this Easter.
