Industry analysts say rotation issues and prices may crimp federal forecasts for record canola acreage this year. In its latest supply/demand estimates Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s market analysis division forecast seeded Canadian canola area in 2009 at a record 17.235 million acres.
