The Canadian Farm Writers’ Federation has granted two Co-operator reporters a total of three awards.
Geralyn Wichers earned a gold award in the current affairs feature category for her article “Quarry battle raises fears over municipal autonomy” from the July 23, 2020 issue.
In the same category Allan Dawson earned a bronze award for his article “The great grain transportation turnaround” from December 2020.
Wichers also earned a bronze award in the current affairs reporting category for her article “Workers say Maple Leaf, province overlooking safety hazards” from September 2020.
Other notable Glacier FarmMedia winners include former Co-operator reporter Lorraine Stevenson who won two awards for her work for Country Guide magazine and Jennifer Blair of Alberta Farmer Express whose work is frequently reprinted in this publication.
