Nov 29 (Reuters) - Spot cash basis bids for corn and
soybeans held mostly steady around the U.S. Midwest on Friday,
supported by light offerings from farmers and commercial
elevators, grain merchants said.
    * Soy bids eased at a processor in Sioux City, Iowa, while
bids for both soybeans and corn were largely unchanged elsewhere
following an abbreviated session at the Chicago Board of Trade.
    * Soybean futures jumped more than 1 percent amid
strong export sales results and continued good overseas demand
but the higher futures failed to entice significant farmer
sales.

                Canadian canola futures vibing
Recent comments from Chinese and Canadian officials offered a shot of positive vibes that lifted ICE canola futures to their highest levels in a month, even without any actual concrete developments on the trade front.

    * Corn futures edged narrowly lower, keeping country
sales of corn to a minimum.
    * Most farmers are finished with the harvest of each crop
and are putting a majority of supplies in storage in the hopes
of selling next year at higher prices.
