Australian crop production estimates rising: ABARES

Australian wheat and barley production in 2024/25 is expected to be larger than earlier estimates and well above what was grown the previous crop year, according to updated estimates from the Australia’s agriculture department (ABARES). Klassen: Feeder cattle market stabilizes

For the week ending August 31, Western Canadian feeder cattle prices were relatively unchanged compared to seven days earlier. Finishing feedlots are exuding a cautious sentiment. Alberta’s harvest ahead of average pace

Combining in Alberta reached 20 per cent complete as of Aug. 27, according to the latest provincial crop report issued Aug. 30. The harvest was eight points ahead of the five-year average. Also, nine per cent of Alberta’s crops have been swathed and 70 per cent remain standing.
