Once harvest is complete and your grain is in the bin, it’s essential that you keep a close eye on its temperature.

But if you don’t have a temperature cable set up in your bin, it’s a bit of a gamble if you’re trying to avoid grade degradation or something disastrous such as a total loss to fire.

One tool designed to to make that job easier is the W-Fi grain probe from Dimo’s/Labtronics.

By connecting the probe to an IP address, the probe gives the temperature of the grain in your bin in real-time, sent to your smartphone or tablet, so you can take action if needed.

In this video, Jason Diehl of Dimo’s/Labtronics demonstrates how the temperature probe works and explains how it can be an essential tool for producers.
