June 18 (Reuters) – Corn and soybean bids were steady to slightly firmer around the U.S. Midwest on Wednesday in quiet trade as farmers remained reluctant to book crop sales, dealers said.
* Soft red winter wheat bids were unchanged in portions of Ohio with harvest still a couple weeks away.
* Rain and wet conditions were monitored in portions of western Iowa, where some fields flooded after strong thunderstorms on Monday. More rain was expected late on Wednesday, a grain merchant said.
* Corn bids firmed 2 cents per bushel at an Indiana ethanol plant and by 7 cents at an Iowa processor.

* Soybean bids firmed by 1 to 4 cents per bushel at terminals on the Mississippi Rivers.
* Soybean held mostly steady supported by tight supplies and slow farmer selling, dealers said.
