Dec 26 (Reuters) - Cash basis bids for corn and soybeans
were mostly unchanged across the U.S. Midwest on Thursday in
slow post-holiday trade, dealers said.
* Corn bids gained 2 cents per bushel at a closely watched
processor in Blair, Nebraska, and an elevator in Council Bluffs,
Iowa, but corn bids were flat elsewhere.
* A soybean bid rose by 3 cents per bushel at a closely
followed processor in Decatur, Illinois.
* Most growers remained in holiday mode, uninterested in
booking fresh sales, and kept calls to grain merchandisers to a

minimum, dealers said.
* Weak grain and soy futures values fueled farmers'
ambivalence towards selling crop supplies, dealers said.
* Soybean futures tumbled on Thursday by as much as 15
cents on improved crop conditions in South America. Corn futures
fell 8 cents, pressured by worries of weakening demand for
U.S. supplies from China, traders said.
