Much of rural Manitoba is fighting winter once again. On April 15, residents began to dig themselves out after late spring blizzard conditions April 13-14.
Waste-deep snow was reported around Onanole, in the west. Elsewhere, according to community weather and precipitation monitor, CoCoRaHs, snow fall amounts around Miami and Somerset saw anywhere from 40-50 centimetres, followed by another snowfall of around 10 centimetres days later, on April 17.
Further west, Boissevain registered over 40 centimetres in total from April 13-18. Portage la Prairie saw similar snowfall. Other areas of the province reported anywhere from 20 to over 30 centimetres in the same window.
