Materials displayed at the MacGregor library commemorate local veterans and service members.

Residents in one area of central Manitoba have taken steps to raise the profile of local First World War and Second World War history.

A display, organized by the North Norfolk Archives Committee at MacGregor’s local library, highlighted the contributions of local servicemen and women during the two historic conflicts during a two-day open house in October. Parts of the exhibit will remain throughout November as a Remembrance Day memorial. The library is open most Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
