Take the road less travelled in some parts of rural Manitoba and you may see an iconic animal on the other side of the fence.

There’s a good number of bison on the Prairies and Manitoba’s bison producers are hard at work meeting the demand of consumer appetites, but it won’t come without its own unique set of challenges.

Here, Len Epp of Rockwood Bison, and Ken Overby of Overby Bison, talk about their operations, their grazing and feeding practices, market opportunities and how the sheep industry and succession could impact bison production in the province.
