– The Kansas City Chiefs scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl LIV to come from behind and beat the San Francisco 49ers. The win marked Kansas City’s first Super Bowl win in 50 years. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was named the most valuable player of the game.

– The United States Senate will hear closing arguments in the impeachment case against President Donald Trump on Monday, with a vote set for Wednesday. It’s widely expected that Trump will be acquitted by the Republican-controlled Senate, especially after senators voted last Friday not to hear new witnesses.

– Deaths attributed to the Wuhan coronavirus hit 361 on Monday, according to Chinese officials. Casualties have now surpassed those caused by the SARS virus in mainland-China in 2002-03. A new 1,000 bed hospital built to deal with the outbreak opened in Wuhan on Monday.
