– The United States gross domestic product increased by an annualized rate of 3.5 per cent during the third quarter. That was down from the 4.2 per cent growth the previous quarter, but still above analyst expectations.
– The FBI’s investigation into the pipe bombs sent to numerous prominent U.S. Democrats and other critics of President Donald Trump this week is focusing on Florida, where a number of the packages originated.
– A CRTC probe into Canadian telecommunication sales practices will hear from industry giants Rogers Communications and BCE Inc. on Friday.
