– Officials in the United States are concerned more package bombs may yet exist and are trying to track down one addressed to former Vice-President Joe Biden. Yesterday Barack and Michelle Obama, Bill and Hillary Clinton, George Soros, Maxine Waters, John Brennan, Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Eric Holder all received pipe bombs.
– U.S. President Donald Trump’s iPhone conversations are being listened to by Russian and Chinese spies, The New York Times reported. White House officials have been frustrated by Trump’s use of unsecured phones
– The Bank of Canada decision to increase interest rates by a quarter of a percentage point to 1.75 per cent for the overnight rate marks the fifth increase since July 2017. The rate remains below what is generally considered the neutral rate of 2.5 to 3.5 per cent.
