Peak of the Market has received the 2025 Regional Supplier Partner Award from Gordon Food Service (GFS), for its work supplying local produce to restaurants and food services in Manitoba.

The award is presented by GFS annually to one supplier across North America. It’s given based on performance in quality, reliability and collaboration. Peak of the Market received the award during the recent GFS Vendor Involvement Process Awards Show.

WHY IT MATTERS: Peak of the Market is being recognized for helping get more Manitoba-grown produce into local restaurants.

“This award is a wonderful reflection of our growing relationship with Gordon Food Service,” said Derek Kostynuik, director of sales at Peak of the Market, in a press release.

“Peak of the Market has been working hard to create value within its customer base, listening to their needs and adapting to meet them, and it’s an honour to be recognized for our efforts.”

Over the past year, the company has introduced new products under Markon Local. That GFS sub-brand has a mandate to distribute produce within local markets. Peak of the Market has used that offshoot as a vehicle to move product to restaurants and food service facilities across Manitoba.
