Wrapping up its online search for Canada’s Ultimate Fishing Town on Oct. 5, Toronto-based cable TV channel WFN: World Fishing Network has crowned Port Alberni, B. C. as its winner, awarding the community $25,000 for local fishing projects and the starring role in a half-hour TV
this spring. The runner-up, Nestor Falls, Ont., gets $5,000. Dauphin, third in the final online vote and the only Manitoba town to make the top 10, will receive $1,000 from WFN.
