The loonie was at US$0.7913 or US$1=C$1.2637 on Monday, up from Friday’s close of US$0.7886 or US$1=C$1.2680. The U.S. Dollar Index was up 0.07 of a point at 93.40. Benchmark crude oil jumped on Monday.
