WINNIPEG, Sept. 18 (CNS Canada) – The following is a glance at the news moving markets in Canada and globally.

– US President Donald Trump is set to give his first speech to the United Nations on Tuesday. The speech comes as tensions with North Korea are mounting, following US military drills conducted over the weekend.

– Iceland’s government collapsed over a controversy involving the pardoning of a convicted pedophile. A snap election was called, with the country going to the polls at the end of October.

– Hurricane Maria is starting to work its way through the Caribbean, following roughly the same track as Irma.
