Winnipeg – Following are a few highlights in the Canadian and world feed grains markets on Friday, October 20.
Prices for feed barley in Manitoba are up 15 cents, according to the latest information from the Prairie Ag Hotwire. Bids are listed at C$3.40 to $3.55 per bushel.
Oat prices in Manitoba rose three cents and are going for C$2.85 to C$3.02 per bushel.

Corn futures at the Chicago Board of Trade fell three to four cents per bushel on Friday, due to the accelerating harvest in the U.S. Midwest. China continues to auction off supplies from its state reserve, which was bearish. The county sold just under two million tonnes of corn this week alone.
In North Dakota, corn prices were holding steady at C$3.10 to C$3.32 a bushel.
Brazilian farmers in the key growing state of Parana have already planted 76 percent of the corn crop. Extremely dry conditions have producers worried though as they wait for more rain.
Winter wheat planting in Ukraine is reaching its final stage. Farmers have planted roughly 5.5 million hectares according to the country’s agriculture ministry. That is about 90 percent of the expected area of 6.15 million hectares.
Ethiopia has put out a tender for 400,000 tonnes of wheat.
