WINNIPEG, Dec. 15 (CNS Canada) – Canadian barley exports are running well ahead of the year-ago pace, with 677,100 tonnes exported to date, according to the latest Canadian Grain Commission data. That compares with only 354,200 tonnes at the same point the previous year.
The domestic usage pace, meanwhile, is running slightly behind the year-ago pace.
Ukrainian barley exports from July through November are behind the 2016 pace, according to data compiled by UkrAgroConsult. The country exported 3.73 million tonnes of barley during the first five months of the 2016/17 crop year, which was down 6.5 per cent from the previous year.
