Southern Ontario craft brewer Brick Brewing has signed a deal with a sales agent to take its products into Atlantic Canada.
The Waterloo-based regional brewer on Monday announced its agreement with AMCA Sales and Marketing, a Dartmouth, N.S. firm that recently expanded its network from grocery and foodservice into the beverage alcohol sector.
The agreement will see AMCA will represent the Brick brands, including Waterloo, Red Baron, Red Cap, Formosa and Laker, in Atlantic Canada.
AMCA’s operations include representation at all four provincial liquor corporations in Atlantic Canada, where it handles product rollouts, promotions and pricing strategies on its clients’ behalf.
The company also operates warehousing facilities at Dartmouth and at St. John’s, Nfld.
Brick, which has operated out of a converted furniture factory in Waterloo since 1984, currently produces about 2.5 million cases of beer per year. The company last year expanded its bottling operations to include canning.
Brick CEO George Croft described the AMCA agreement as “a significant opportunity for strong organic growth” of the company’s brands.
