Temperatures across all three Prairie provinces are milder than normal for mid-December and are forecast to remain that way at least through Tuesday, according to data from WeatherFarm.com.
Temperatures were hovering around the freezing mark in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba on Monday, with many stations in southern Alberta straight up past Edmonton reporting temperatures in the single digits to the plus side.
In Saskatchewan, temperatures ranged from -1 to -6 C in the agricultural areas, while Manitoba temperatures ranged from about 0 to -8 C at midday.
Light snowfall was reported in southern Saskatchewan and across southern Manitoba Monday morning.
For Tuesday, temperatures above freezing are forecast for much of Alberta and Saskatchewan, while slightly cooler temperatures are forecast for Manitoba, according to the WeatherFarm data.
