Growers in North Dakota were recently treated to a demonstration of New Zealand seed drill technology at work in Prairie growing conditions.

Baker No-Tillage, the New Zealand manufacturer of the Cross Slot drill, has partnered with North American manufacturers to build units on this continent for farmers in the zero-till market.

Grainews machinery editor Scott Garvey attended the demo of a 45-foot Cross Slot seed opener unit at Willow City, N.D., about 200 km south of Brandon, Man., where the company’s North American CEO Gavin Porter and a satisfied farm customer share their thoughts on the drill and its performance in North American field conditions.
