Manitoba Crop Alliance and Fertilizer Canada are again looking for Manitoba farmers to complete a survey on their fertility practices — this time in corn, sunflower and flax crops.

Manitoba Corn Growers Association, now part of the MCA, partially funded a similar survey in 2017 for corn and canola. In a media release the MCA said that effort “… helped the industry understand corn producers a little better. It was expressed that a more in-depth survey was required and to add the remainder of the special crops covered by our organization.”

The survey will take about half an hour to complete and the aim is to help industry improve fertilizer application processes. Respondents must be “… one of the main decision makers for the fertilizer program on your farm… ” and must have planted at least 50 acres of flax, grain corn or sunflowers in 2021.

MCA members have already received emails about the survey, though they may have gone to their junk folders. Participants will receive $40 for their efforts.
