
Starbuck farmer Chuck Fossay is the new president of the Manitoba Canola Growers Association (MCGA)
He replaces Ed Rempel, also of Starbuck, who remains on the MCGA’s board but declined to seek re-election as president.
The MCGA held its reorganizational meeting to elect a new executive Feb. 11 following its annual meeting in Winnipeg.
Clayton Harder of Narol was elected vice-president, Brian Chorney of East Selkirk was elected secretary and Jack Froese of Winkler was elected treasurer.
“I am looking forward to being the president of the MCGA this year,” Fossay said in a news release. “I will do my best to serve the needs of our members.”
Chorney was re-elected for a two-year term to the Canola Council of Canada board of directors. Clayton Harder and Jack Froese were re-elected for a two-year term to the Canadian Canola Growers Association board of directors.

Fossay was re-elected for a one-year term to serve on the Keystone Agricultural Producers’ general council.
