Debate Could Come Sooner

I would like to take this occasion to correct the impression left by my honourable colleague, MP Wayne Easter, regarding my Private Member’s Bill, C-619 (an act to amend the Canadian Wheat Board Act), in the recent edition of the Manitoba Co-operator.

Agreeably, any new legislation, including Private Member’s Bills, takes time to run through the legislative process. But, if the opposition parties don’t defeat the government and put the country into an unnecessary and unwanted election, debate on this bill will
