Nanotechnology used to develop genetic pest control
Researchers from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada are working with nanotechnology and RNA to develop new pest insect control methods as an alternative to chemical spray on crops.
In Setter’s words, a secondary load system on the side of the Companion allows the operator to load chemicals more safely so there is no contact with it whatsoever. Herbicides or pesticides are instantly added into the sprayer system so operators won’t have to touch it, see it or smell it.
