Mazergroup executive joins equipment dealers’ board

The chief financial officer for Manitoba-based Mazergroup has joined the board of the North American Equipment Dealers Association.

The association announced June 2 it had elected four new members to its board, including Wally Butler, chief financial officer for the Brandon-based equipment dealership chain.

NAEDA, an advocacy organization for retail equipment dealers, is based in Kansas City and has a Canadian office in Calgary.

PAMI’s getting another $25,000 to help farm machinery and their digital systems, across different brands, work together.

Mazergroup spans 18 sites in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, dealing mainly in New Holland products. Butler has worked for some iteration of the company since 1997, when it was known as Mazer Implements.

He previously served as a director of the Canada West Equipment Dealer Association and Western Equipment Dealership Association board from 2008 to 2020. His roles with the latter organization included chair of the audit committee, president and past president.

The other Canadian representative on NAEDA’s 13-member board is Landis Stankievech, business manager for Trochu Motors, an Agco, Versatile and Kubota dealer in Trochu, Alta.
