Manitoba Ag Days is reminding Assiniboine Community College (ACC) agribusiness students and community fire departments of the looming deadline to apply for the Ag Days Gives Back program.
Those interested have until Nov. 15 to apply for grants and scholarships.
Over the last 10 years, the farm show has given more than $347,500 for rural facilities and services throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

“Our visitors and exhibitors come from a wide geographical area and the goal of the fund is to be able to share some of the show’s success by contributing to their communities,” said Kristen Phillips, Ag Days general manager, in a media release.
The grants and scholarships will be awarded this January at the 2023 show.
Eight $2,000 community safety grants will be awarded to rural fire departments this year, and fire departments with projects that require funding are encouraged to apply.
Ag Days Gives Back awards three $1,000 scholarships annually, one to an ACC diploma student and one each to University of Manitoba agriculture diploma and degree students.
ACC students apply individually, while the U of M scholarships are awarded through the institution’s own scholarship system.
Applications for ACC students are available on the Ag Days website (www.agdays.com). Click on the visitors tab on the menu at the top of the page, and then select “Ag Days Gives Back & Scholarships” from the drop-down menu.
Manitoba Ag Days will also be providing the education and leadership grant in the amount of $10,000 to Agriculture in the Classroom – Manitoba.
The 2023 show dates are Tuesday, Jan. 17 to Thursday, Jan. 19.
