Winnipeg, Dec. 19 (CNS) – Following are a few highlights in
the Canadian and world feed grains markets for Tuesday, Dec. 19.
Feed wheat prices in some parts of Europe have been higher
lately than milling wheat, according to a report in Hellenic
Shipping News Worldwide. In Germany, feed wheat prices have
remained higher than milling wheat at some port markets. In
Poland, slow exports have led milling wheat as well to lose its
usual premium over feed markets.

tonnes of feed barley in an international tender which closed
Friday, according to a report in the Business Recorder.
The United States Department of Agriculture’s Foreign
Agriculture Services offices in Chile are expecting feed exports
from the United States to Chile to reach an all-time high this
fiscal year. The U.S. Chile Free Trade Agreement has increased
the value of U.S. exports and market share since 2004. This year
there has been a 20 per cent increase in feed grains imported
into Chile from the U.S.
Feed barley bids in Manitoba have risen slightly, according
to the latest information available from the Prairie Ag Hotwire.
Feed barley bids in Alberta and Saskatchewan held steady at
C$3.35 to C$4.79 per bushel and C$3.50 to C$3.75 per bushel,
respectively.
