The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) has announced three grade changes for Canada Western Red Winter Wheat (CWRW) to take effect Aug. 1, 2011.

Those changes include establishing a minimum grade specification of 11 per cent protein for No. 1 and No. 2 Canada Western Red Winter (CWRW) wheat, and reduced tolerances for fusarium-damaged kernels in No. 1 and No. 2 CWRW wheat.

The changes also introduce a grade schedule for a newly created No. 3 CWRW wheat grade. For more information go to: www.grainscanada.gc.ca
