A key member of the Manitoba Canola Growers Association is ‘retiring’ to pay more attention to the family farm.
Roberta Galbraith has been the organization’s grower engagement and extension manager for the past eight years.
“In that time she has been a leader in developing and creating learning opportunities and actives for Canola farmers in Manitoba. Her strategic thinking, creativity, passion for learning and wisdom will truly be missed,” MCGA’s media release reads.
“The other directors and I would like to thank Roberta for her hard work, for the way she connected with everyone in the agriculture industry, for helping form the CropConnect Conference, and for making MCGA a great organization,” said Jack Froese, MCGA director, in the same release.

In early June, MCGA welcomed Corina Lepp, the new grower engagement and extension manager to the organization.
“Corina is joining a great organization and it is the people that make it great,” said Froese. “We’re thrilled to welcome her aboard, and from our initial observations we think she will be a great fit.”
Lepp will take over organization of events like Crops-a-palooza, Learn to Lead and the Crop Connect Conference. The 2019 installment of Crops-a-palooza is set for Carberry this week.
