US FEDERAL RESERVE TO RELEASE SEPTEMBER MINUTES
The US Federal Reserve will release the minutes of its September meeting on Wednesday, October 12. Investors will be reading the minutes closely for signs of future moves.

US ELECTION TURMOIL
A number of high-ranking US Republicans are backing away from presidential candidate Donald Trump, as the contentious election delves further into circus territory and away from policy.

WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION CALLS FOR SUGAR TAX
The United Nations World Health Organization is calling on countries to implement tax policies that would help reduce sugar consumption. In addition to taxes that would increase sugary drinks by 20 per cent, the WHO is also recommending subsidies on fruits and vegetables.
