Oct. 11 (CNS Canada) – The following is a glance at the news moving markets in Canada and globally.

– United States President Donald Trump plans to kick off his push for tax reform at a rally near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania today. The tax reform proposal promises to cut corporate taxes and increase base tax deductions for the middle class.

– Two U.S. military bombers, along with two South Korean fighter jets, flew over the Korean peninsula in a show of force, as U.S. President Donald Trump met with key administration officials to discuss possible responses to any North Korean threats.

– Spanish markets rallied and lifted the euro in wider European markets after Catalonia stopped short of unilaterally declaring independence from Spain.

– Talks to modernize the North American Free Trade Agreement are set to start in Arlington, Virginia, today with the United States expected to table its list of demands.
