Global Markets: North Korea to build more powerful missile

Aug. 24 (CNS Canada) – The following is a glance at the news moving markets in Canada and globally.

– North Korea has unveiled plans to build a newer, more powerful intercontinental ballistic missile.

– Russian strategic bomber and fighter jets flew what Russian officials called a “pre-arranged flight” over the Sea of Japan, the East China Sea and the Yellow Sea, prompting Japan and South Korea to scramble jets as escorts. Russia gave no immediate reason for the mission.

– Investigators in the United States Congress have found another email from a top aide to President Donald Trump discussing a meeting between Trump campaign officials and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The email was sent in June 2016 by Rick Dearborn, Trump’s deputy chief of staff, and contained information about a person trying to connect them with Putin, according to CNN.
