– The acting secretary of the United States Navy, Thomas Modley, has resigned from his post amid controversy over his response to a COVID-19 outbreak on the USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier and his mishandling of the firing of the ship’s captain. Modley will be replaced by Army Undersecretary James McPherson.

– U.S. President Donald Trump is threatening to withdraw funding to the World Health Organization (WHO), complaining that the United Nations’ agency mishandled the COVID-19 pandemic. The U.S. is the largest donor to the WHO. The WHO called the pandemic a global emergency at the end of January, when Trump was still downplaying the threat.

– Zoom Video Communications is being sued by in a class action suit by one of its shareholders over allegations the virtual meeting platform failed to disclose security flaws. The company has generate a great deal of activity in recent weeks as social distancing measures force meetings online.
