– United States Attorney General William Barr released a summary on Sunday of the report from Special Counsel Robert Mueller of his investigation of possible collusion between President Donald Trump and Russia. Barr stated Mueller’s report did not find evidence of such collusion, but the president was not completely exonerated. Trump, to the contrary, proclaimed himself to be fully exonerated and accused Democrats of an “illegal takedown that failed.”

– Parliament in the United Kingdom could vote as early as Tuesday on another Brexit motion. Recently, U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May obtained an extension from the European Union for her country’s Brexit deadline from March 29 to May 22. May still faces stiff opposition to her Brexit deal including from within her Conservative government.
– As India’s general election approaches, Congress Party leader Rahul Gandhi promised to provide the country’s poorest families annual payments 72,000 rupees (US$1,045) as a means to eradicate poverty India. Approximately 20 per cent of India’s 1.3 billion people would be eligible. The governing Bharatiya Janata Party denounced the plan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is seeking a second term, is expected to call the general election in April or May.
