JAPAN’S JOBLESS RATE MOVED HIGHER IN FEBRUARY
Japan’s jobless rate increased in February, according to reports on Tuesday.
Japan’s unemployment rate—on a seasonally adjusted basis—moved to 3.3 per cent last month, compared with 3.2 per cent in January.
BRAZIL’S CONSUMER CONFIDENCE FALLS
The main consumer confidence measurement index in Brazil dropped in March, analysts say.
The index moved to 67.1 points in March, lower than the 68.5 points in February.
A harsh recession was cited as one cause of lower confidence.
CANADA’S INDUSTRIAL PRODUCT PRICE INDEX WEAKENS
Canada’s industrial product price index declined 1.1 per cent in February, led by lower prices for energy and petroleum products, Statistics Canada said in a report on Tuesday.
According to StatsCan, the raw materials price index fell 2.6 per cent, mainly as a result of lower prices for crude energy products.
