Lowe Farm farmer Dean Harder was one of three videographers to win an all-expense paid trip to the FMC Ag Excellence Conference in Winnipeg with his entry in the Y We Farm: A Young Farmer Video Competition.

Harder joins Jeff Barlow from Ontario and Jill Burkhardt from Alberta in attending the conference being held Nov. 19 to 21. The three farmers, ages 20 to 40, each produced a video answering the question: What does the future of Canadian agriculture look like to you?

The video competition, which as sponsored by Ag Annex Business Media, is designed to get young farmers engaged in using multimedia to share their passion, hopes and dreams for Canada’s agricultural industry. It also provides an opportunity to quench their thirst for knowledge by participating in leading agricultural events across Canada.
