Farmers purchasing Simplicity and Liquid Achieve herbicides this spring will now benefit from a new lower price at retailers across Western Canada, Dow AgroSciences Canada Inc. says in a release.
Dow AgroSciences is offering the $2-per-acre price reduction for all purchases made for the 2010 season.
“We want to ensure our customers receive the most effective weed control products priced right relative to competitive options,” says Jeff Loessin, marketing specialist with Dow AgroSciences.
The new suggested retail price of Simplicity is $21.40 per acre, and the new suggested retail price of Liquid Achieve is $17.99 per acre.

“The price adjustments will ensure customers who purchase Liquid Achieve or Simplicity this spring receive the best performing products, services and support, along with exceptional value,” Loessin says.
Simplicity provides control of grass and broadleaf weeds. It is a proven performer in all varieties of wheat and durum, across all soil zones in Western Canada.
With Group 2 mode of action, Simplicity provides a resistance management tool for Group 1-resistant wild oats. It also provides unlimited crop rotation options, crop safety, and excellent tank mixing options like MCPA and Attain XC.
Liquid Achieve has been used for 15 years to deliver control of wild oats and grassy weeds. The manufacturer says it offers a higher level of flexibility and crop safety than competitive products, and can be applied in both barley and wheat. Liquid Achieve is highly rated by growers for wild oat control, barley yields, crop safety, reliable performance and a wide window of application.
