According to Martin Grantley-Smith from the United
Kingdom’s Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board,
Britain’s grain sector will not do well outside of the European
Union because of its low volumes and poor harvests. Grantley-
Smith spoke at a U.K. parliamentary committee inquiry stating
non-EU grain producers such as Russia, Ukraine and the U.S. have
been “exporting perfectly” for a very long time, and in volumes

Feed wheat prices in Alberta fell by 14 cents over the last

day to C$5.99 per bushel, according to Prairie Ag Hotwire. Feed
barley prices in Saskatchewan and Alberta however rose over the
last day. Prices jumped by 20 cents in Saskatchewan to C$3.75
per bushel and in Alberta prices increased by four cents to
C$4.62 per bushel.
