Canada’s pig producers will once again have a seat at the table at the Canadian Federation of Agriculture, citing need for a united agricultural trade front.
The CFIA is investigating bovine TB discovered at a facility in south central Manitoba, which means some producers may get a call to take part in trace-in and trace-out procedures as part of that investigation.
Manitoba has entered into economic co-operation agreements with New Brunswick, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Prince Edward Island, which are aimed at reducing trade barriers and increasing labour mobility between the provinces.
