Canada’s largest indoor farm show will not go ahead as usual in 2021.

The show was originally slated to run January 19-21, 2021 but is cancelled due to COVID-19 safety concerns.

“The safety and well-being of our exhibitors, patrons, volunteers, contractors, board of directors and management team was paramount in our decision,” the organization said in a news release on Aug. 17.

The show will return “when it is safe to do so,” it further read.

Ag Days 2020 saw about 45,000 people converge on Brandon’s Keystone Centre, according to a January news release, as well as over 550 exhibitors and about 60 seminar speakers.

Earlier this year, the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba announced the cancellation of both the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair and Manitoba Summer Fair, two of the exhibition’s three major fair events for the year. Numerous other shows and ag events were also cancelled, while some, like Ag in Motion, moved online.
