SOUTH INTERLAKE

The South Interlake 4-H Beef clubs held their annual show and sale June 5. Thank you to our judges Richard Bramley and Karli Flinta-Murphy with the help of Ryan Laing in the ring ensuring the safety of all members.

Thank you to all those who helped with the organization, set up, clean up, sponsorship, our auctioneer Darren Tully, and all the buyers.

In senior interclub grooming and showmanship, Stacey Shott finished first, while Michelle Riding took first in the showmanship category.

Among other interclub winners, Anthony Dziedzic earned first in the two-yearold with calf category; Jesse Gross earned first place in the intermediate showmanship, yearling heifer and overall female categories; and Gary Wilkinson earned first in the commercial steer class.

For rate of gain, Kael Logan-Pemkows i of Teulon and Lynnea Buchanan from the Argyle club each earned a $50 cheque from Cattlex and the Fleury Feeds Trophy.

Erik Drury, Anthony Dziedzic and Stacey Schott earned first place in the interclub junior, intermediate and senior classes respectively.

In Argyle’s junior showmanship category, Erik Drury took first place, while Kyle Drury earned first in intermediate showmanship. Lynnea Buchanan earned first in Argyle’s steer competition.

Melinda Kemp earned first in Inwood-Teulon’s junior showmanship category, while Anthony Dziedzic earned first in intermediate showmanship and also won the Bert Vince Memorial Trophy in the club’s steer competition.

Carcass judging took place on June 10 at Interlake Packers with inspector Cliff Major. First, second and third place went to Anthony Dziedzic, Kim Dziedzic and Lynnea Buchanan respectively.
