U.S. Cash Grains-Processors boost soy bids; corn mostly steady/weak

April 22 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for soybeans firmed at
processors around the U.S. Midwest early on Tuesday as dealers
tried to boost crushing supplies.
    * Farmer sales of soybeans remained slow on Tuesday morning
as recent weakness in the futures market has pushed cash prices
below $15 a bushel in many locations.
    * Most growers had set a minimum target price of at least
$15 a bushel for new deals, dealers said. Soybean stocks were
tight.
    * Soybean bids rose by as much as 10 cents per bushel in
Morristown, Indiana, the biggest increase in the region.

* Cash bids for corn were steady to weaker at processors, elevators and river terminals, falling by 6 cents per bushel in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. * A dealer in northern Ohio said some growers were booking sales in order to unload the corn left in their storage bins before starting spring planting. * Corn bids did firm at ethanol producers, rising by 2 to 3 cents per bushel in some locations. * Bids for soybeans held steady at elevators around the region.
