– Less than a year after the doors at Sears Canada were shuttered, Sears in the United States has filed for bankruptcy protection. The number of stores has already been dwindling for some time, and analysts question whether or not the retail company will be able to restructure itself.

– European stocks fell to their lowest levels in nearly two years on Monday, as mounting global trade uncertainty and the rising tensions between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia had investors showing caution to start the week.

– U.S. President Donald Trump is set to visit the Florida Panhandle on Monday to survey the damage caused by Hurricane Michael.
