– The United States officially opened its Israeli embassy in Jerusalem on Monday, despite objection from many allies. The move has sparked Palestinian protests with at least 41 people killed by Israeli forces and an additional 900 Palestinians wounded on Monday, according to reports.

– U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted Sunday that he will work with Chinese President Xi to help get telecom company ZTE back in business. The U.S. had banned American companies from selling components to ZTE after the company failed to comply with U.S. sanctions after it admitted to illegally dealing with Iran and North Korea.
